My name is Norris Hughes and I'm a Technologist. Professionally, I've been in the IT industry for over 14 years. Personally, I've been a Geek at heart since 84' when I began tinkering with computers at the age of 14. I'm very passionate about human computer interaction.
I have a Masters in Education in Instructional Technology. Currently, I'm pursuing a PhD in Information Technology where I plan to focus my disseration topic on Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and the strategies and tactics needed to effectively design and use three-dimensional (3D) social virtual environments, games and simulations.
I'm a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist for SharePoint Technologies.
I live in Northern Georgia with my wife and son. I'm a huge technology and gadget enthusiast. And I am especially interested in mobile gadgets and Web 2.0 technologies.
In my spare time and leisure, I enjoy playing video games (on my Sony PS3, & Nintendo Wii) and visiting MMOs, studying ancient civiliazations, and traveling to distance places when the opportunity presents itself..
